Die Sims 3 starten nicht auf Mac

Eine liebe Sims 3 Spielerin kam via PM  auf mich zu und fragte ob ich ihr Post ansehen könnte

Der Launcher startet zwar und der Hintergrund ist blau, aber die Sims3 starten nicht

Wenn das Spiel vorher ohne Probleme gelaufen ist, ist es meistens nur ein Temporäres Problem

Navigiert unter die User Library, ihr könnt auch unter den Finder > Gehe zu und dann tippt ihr


Dort löscht ihr Sims3.transgaming cookies

Leert den Papierkorb und staetet das Spiel erneut

The Sims 3 on Mac important information for all Catalina users

Earlier this year, Apple announced plans to phase out support for 32-bit applications with their new macOS, Catalina. Due to this change, we will be releasing an updated version of The Sims 3 that will be compatible with the new macOS, The Sims 3 (64-Bit & Metal). We will also be making all DLC content available in this new format, as well.

MacGuiden The Sims 3 The Sims 4

EA closes the support for OpenGL and goes with Metal

As of June 2019, OpenGL will no longer be supported for the Sims 4.
Instead,  The Sims 4 is develop to support Metal on compatible Macs.

For those of you who use an older Mac, that does not support Metal, you can still play the base game and all its packs.
But keep an eye to the new The Sims 4 Legacy Edition, which will be available in June.

Important facts that should be considered about the Sims 4: Legacy Edition

  • The Sims 4: Legacy Edition is free
  • No bugs will be fixed in the future or new content can be receive
  • ¬†The gallery and social integrations in the game no longer work
  • ¬†Thus, EP / GP and other packs can not be added after February 2019
  • ¬†Your installed game will automatically be updated to the older version.
    Of course, you can still transfer your saved games. For this EA will give an exact instruction, of course I also stay on the ball and keep this in mind
